Sri Meenakshi Chandrasekaran Pillai Educational Trust
The Trustees of "Sri Meenakshi Chandrasekaran Pillai Educational Trust", who are residents of Pattukkottai, hail from a reputed family with a hoary tradition. Trust consists of two trustees. Shri C.Sundrapandian, S/o Late Chandrasekaran Pillai is the Managing Trustee (Founder of the Trust) and his wife Smt.S.Sangavai is the other Trustee. Urge in the trustees to provide a basis for imparting Higher Education and Teacher Education, to the residents in and around Pattukkottai town, has prompted them to establish "Meenakshi Chandrasekaran College of Education" in 2015.
Infrastructure
The college has a fantastic infrastructure comprising a well equipped digitized library, state of the art laboratories, spacious class rooms and internet browsing facilities. Several class rooms are fitted with LCD so that power point seminars may be included as part of daily schedule. A portable LCD is also available for usage by the students. Adequate washroom facilities are provided in every floor. A grievance box is kept, so that students may intimate their problems to the authorities confidentially.
Library
The college has a spacious, well equipped digitalized library with 3329 volumes,Encyclopedia and more than 10 national as well as international journals of various disciplines. Multiple copies of text books are maintained. Every staff and students is provided library cards. The library is kept open during the vacations as well as working days OPAC method of indexing is being implemented and steps are taken to computerize the system.
Laboratory
The college has state of the art Psychology, Physical Science, Biological Science, Computer Science, ICT, Mathematics, and Language Laboratories
Physical Education, Art and Craft
The college has a Physical Education, Art and Craft rooms.
Transport
Our college is running its own bus, for the staff member and students coming from various parts of the city. Because of this transport facility, all are reaching their destination on time.
